A delegation of Latin American livestock industry leaders recently attended the 2025 Chicken Marketing Summit, gaining valuable insights into technologies and trends shaping the global poultry sector.

The group, accompanied by the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC), participated in sessions covering production innovations, consumer behavior, animal welfare and product safety.

“This event took place at a time when the poultry sector continues to grow in Latin America, driven by shifts in consumer preferences, increased demand for affordable protein and the need for more sustainable production practices,” said Angélica Ríos, USGBC marketing specialist.

The delegation also visited TransGlobe to review supply chain logistics for U.S. co-product exports and toured supermarkets to observe American retail marketing strategies.

“The experience underscored the importance of staying ahead of market trends and embracing innovation to remain competitive,” Ríos said, noting that participants gained knowledge to strengthen operations in their local markets.

The Council reported strengthened engagement with small and medium-sized enterprises in the region through the initiative.
