Centerra Co-op has completed its acquisition of Coshocton Grain Company, adding significant grain processing and storage capacity to its operations across Ohio and western Pennsylvania, the cooperative announced Tuesday.

The deal, finalized September 2, brings Coshocton's soybean processing plant and grain storage facility, along with its Hebron intermodal grain facility, under Centerra's ownership. The cooperative plans to continue operating both locations.

"This acquisition is an important step forward for Centerra," said Jean Bratton, CEO of Centerra Co-op. "By adding Coshocton's assets and team, we are expanding opportunities for our members while continuing to provide the reliable, local service they expect."

The acquisition enhances Centerra's grain-handling capabilities and provides members with improved market access across its service area.

Rhoda Warnock, president of Coshocton Grain Company, noted the transition comes after nearly eight decades of service to local farmers.

"While we are excited for this next chapter, we have appreciated serving our local ag community for the past 77 years," Warnock said. "Joining Centerra allows us to build on the strong foundation we've created, while ensuring our customers and employees benefit from greater resources and long-term stability."
