SatYield has named agribusiness veteran Greg Estep strategic enterprise agriculture advisor, adding four decades of experience in commodity trading, risk management and agricultural supply chains to support the company's growth.
Estep previously held senior leadership positions at Continental Grain, ConAgra Foods and Olam International. He also serves on the board of directors of Richardson International, a global agriculture and food processing company.
In his new role, Estep will advise SatYield's leadership team on enterprise market development, strategic customer engagement, commercial positioning and go-to-market execution. The company said he will help strengthen relationships with global agribusinesses, grain merchandisers and food processors seeking earlier insight into crop production and supply chain risk.
SatYield combines satellite imagery, artificial intelligence and physics-based crop models to deliver weekly crop production intelligence.

Estep said he was drawn to the company's science-based approach and its ability to provide earlier visibility into crop production trends that support better business decisions.
