Proven Seed, the proprietary seed brand of Nutrien Ag Solutions, will introduce four new canola hybrids for the 2026 growing season designed to address the evolving needs of Western Canadian farmers.

The expansion includes three LibertyLink varieties and one TruFlex option, each featuring different maturity ranges and agronomic advantages.

"These new hybrids are the result of extensive multi-year field testing through our comprehensive seed advancement program," said Jennifer Dale, Canola Product Line Manager at Nutrien Ag Solutions.

All four hybrids incorporate clubroot resistance, while three feature the company's proprietary NTACT pod shatter reduction technology to improve straight-cutting harvesting efficiency.

The LibertyLink additions include PV 662 LCM, a mid-maturity variety with strong yield potential; PV 663 LCN, designed for earlier maturity with pod shatter protection; and PV 664 LCN, a full-season option with advanced disease resistance.

For TruFlex systems, PV 784 TCN offers blackleg and clubroot resistance with strong standability.

The varieties were evaluated at more than 100 locations across Western Canada through the company's Proven Performance Check trials, which test hybrids under various farm conditions.
