StoneX Group Inc. announced Tuesday it has acquired Advanced Marketing Group, a merchandiser of ingredients for feed, pet food and organic fertilizer.
The Oregon-based company will join StoneX Supply & Trading’s feed ingredients operations, expanding the financial services firm’s reach into animal-based protein products and pet food markets.
Founded in 2010 and based in Wilsonville, Oregon, AMG trades animal protein-based feed ingredients and manufactures organic fertilizers. The company serves pet food manufacturers, dairy and poultry producers, feed mills, feedlots and fertilizer brands with roughly 20 trading and operations professionals working across four U.S. states and Canada.
The acquisition gives StoneX new product lines, an expanded client base and broader geographic coverage across North America. For AMG, the deal provides more capital to grow and access to StoneX’s risk-management platform and global network.
“AMG brings an established, well-run feed-ingredients business with supplier relationships and ‘approved supplier’ status that are hard to replicate,” said Brent Grecian, CEO of StoneX Supply & Trading. “It expands our physical commodities capabilities into animal-protein and pet-food ingredients.”
AMG owners Ted Skinner and Pete Schoonveld said the partnership offers their business resources for growth.
“StoneX gives our business the capital and infrastructure to grow in ways we couldn’t on our own,” they said. “We’re proud of what our team has built, and StoneX’s platform is the right home to take it further.”
