Bay State Milling Company, a leading family-owned milling enterprise in the United States, has launched PurelySown Purity Protocol Gluten-Free Oats, expanding its specialty oats portfolio.
The new product line, manufactured in Saskatchewan, Canada, adheres to rigorous gluten-free standards, containing less than 5 parts per million (ppm) of gluten. This is significantly below the Food and Drug Administration's 20 ppm limit and the Gluten-Free Certification Organization's 10 ppm threshold.
Mark Maloney, senior director of sales at Bay State Milling, emphasized the product's reliability for gluten-sensitive consumers. "Purity protocol oats offer a safe, dependable and high-quality ingredient customers can trust to create a variety of delicious gluten-free products," he said.
The purity protocol involves a multi-layered process to prevent gluten contamination throughout the supply chain. This includes using wheat-free fields for three years, avoiding bordering gluten-containing crops, and employing dedicated gluten-free equipment for all stages of production.
PurelySown Oats are available in conventional, organic, and Regenerative Organic Certified varieties. The product comes in multiple forms, including groats, flakes, rolled, and old-fashioned options.
This launch complements Bay State Milling's existing SowNaked Mindfully Farmed Oats and expands the company's diverse portfolio of wheat-based flours, ancient grains, edible seeds, and gluten-free, plant-based ingredients produced across 11 U.S. facilities.
