KSBY's Shannon MacNeil reported that fire crews began demolishing the fire-damaged Templeton Feed and Grain building Monday morning, using heavy-duty cables to bring down one side of the structure. The action follows a fire that engulfed the landmark on July 4.
Community members gathered to support the business and its owners, with residents lining up to make purchases upon reopening.
"It's totally a shock for us because it's been here all my life," said Linda Tucker, a Templeton resident.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is assisting with the investigation and has released surveillance images of individuals in the area during the fire. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact investigators.
