Fuel ethanol conference to feature record 250 presentations across five tracks

The 42nd annual International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo takes place June 2-4 in St. Louis with expanded programming and more than 200 speakers.

The 2026 International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo will feature the largest program in the event's 42-year history, with nearly 250 presentations across a newly expanded five-track agenda.

Produced by BBI International and Ethanol Producer Magazine, the conference takes place June 2-4 in St. Louis. The event is the world's largest gathering of ethanol industry stakeholders.

"The response to this year's call for abstracts has been exceptional, resulting in a record-setting number of submissions and one of the most robust speaker lineups in the event's history," said John Nelson, chief operating officer at BBI International.

The five-track program covers production and operations for biological processes; production and operations for mechanical processes and plant control; coproducts and product diversification; leadership and financial management; and AI, digitalization and advanced process control. The fifth track is new this year.

The program includes three co-located events: the Sustainable Fuels Summit, Carbon Capture & Storage Summit and the Ethanol 101 seminar.

The general session takes place Wednesday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., following breakfast at 8 a.m. The fourth annual Women in Ethanol event will be held at 8:30 a.m., led by Anna Simet, director of content and senior editor at BBI International.

BBI International CEO Joe Bryan will deliver welcome remarks, followed by presentation of the High Octane Award, Award of Excellence and Distinguished Service Award. Nominations are open through April 24.

The FEW Kathy Bryan Memorial Scholarship program will award two $2,000 scholarships to ethanol plant employees or their immediate family members. Applications are due May 4, and recipients will be recognized during the general session.
