The North American Rail Shippers Association (NARS) held its Annual Meeting in Chicago from May 7-9, electing new officers and honoring industry professionals.

Ray Hufnagel of Plastic Express was named president for 2025-2026, with Torri Stuckey of CSX as first vice president and Harry Zander of Intramotev as second vice president. Jason Seidl of TD Cowen was appointed as the new secretary.

The association presented two awards: Janet H. Gilbert of Fletcher & Sippel received the Edward R. Hamberger Lifetime Achievement Award, while Mona Moorman of Domtar was named NARS Person of the Year.

NARS also announced six scholarship recipients for 2025, selected based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.

"NARS provides an essential forum for railroads and shippers to work collaboratively," said incoming President Hufnagel. "I look forward to serving with our Board of Directors to keep NARS and the railroad industry strong and growing."

The association plans to announce details for its 2026 Annual Meeting later this year.
