
The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) will hold its Summer Meeting on July 8–9, 2024, at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The meeting's theme, “Rail Innovation: Connecting Shippers with Technology,” will highlight advancements in technology for safer, more efficient, and greener rail logistics.
The event will kick off on July 8 with the annual Scholarship Golf Outing, a reception, and a networking dinner. New for this year is the MARS Inaugural Pickleball Tournament. The business meeting will take place on July 9, featuring presentations from high-level executives and industry experts, including:

- Karen Hedlund, Member, Surface Transportation Board

- Conrad Victor, Director Logistics, Cleveland Cliffs
“Shippers, railroads, equipment owners, and other industry stakeholders are rapidly leveraging technology for safer, more efficient, and greener rail logistics,” said Matt O’Kray, MARS President and Vice President Commercial, Transtar, LLC. “This summer’s meeting will focus on these advances, as well as being a great place to network with a diverse variety of industry leaders.”

- Cost: $360 registration fee before June 8, 2024. After June 9, registration increases to $435, and onsite registration is $500.
