Feed mills can optimize their operations and save money on repairs by implementing predictive maintenance, according to Nick Malott, analytics architect at Interstates Inc., who spoke at the Feed Mill of the Future Conference during the 2026 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta.
“Every plant, regardless (of whether) it's a feed mill or any other industry, is really demanding high throughput and minimal downtime. To do this, we need process stability, and we need to be able to track our equipment health,” Malott said. “We also want consistent operator decisions under variability.”
