Minnesota Soybean Processors (MnSP) has formed a new partnership with Verity Holdings, LLC to implement advanced track and trace software across its operations, the companies announced earlier this month.
The collaboration will utilize Verity's proprietary technology to document sustainability metrics throughout the supply chain, potentially unlocking additional value through export premiums while enhancing compliance reporting capabilities.
"This partnership with MnSP is a great example of how Verity's technology empowers producers to capture and communicate the value of sustainable agriculture," said Kimberly Bowron, President of Verity. "By leveraging our advanced data verification and supply chain transparency solutions, MnSP can document key attributes with confidence, ensuring that sustainably grown soybeans translate into real value for farmers, processors, and international buyers alike."
The initiative comes as demand for verifiable sustainability credentials continues to grow in international markets, particularly for agricultural products derived from regeneratively grown crops. Both companies indicate this partnership represents the first stage in creating a comprehensive traceability system from farm to finished products.
MnSP has been a significant player in soybean processing since 2003, operating a crush plant that processes over 100,000 bushels daily. The company also runs a refinery producing feedstock for edible oil and biofuels, along with a biodiesel production facility with a 41 million gallon annual capacity, all located in Brewster, Minnesota.
Verity Holdings is a subsidiary of Gevo, a company specializing in sustainable fuels and products derived from renewable resources.
