The St. Cloud Times' Corey Schmidt reported on a fire late Sunday evening completely destroyed the Holdingford Feed Mill in central Minnesota, officials said. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office received multiple reports of flames and explosions around 7:40 p.m.
Deputies found the fire spreading upon arrival, and several area fire departments worked to extinguish it. The building suffered severe damage, though nearby grain bins remained intact. No one was at the mill during the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
The mill, located about 25 miles northwest of St. Cloud, had been in operation for nearly 130 years. Owners expressed gratitude for community support, noting that other local feed mills have offered assistance.
