Fire officials say a man has died after falling into a grain bin in Palmyra, MO, on Tuesday night, reports WGEM.

According to Palmyra Fire Chief Gary Crane, crews believe Theodore Smith Jr., 63, of Philadelphia, MO, climbed into the bin while unloading grain.

"It wasn't unloading fast enough, and then for some reason he stepped into the bin and it collapsed with him," Crane told WGEM.
