AGI's Rajan Aggarwal wins leadership award

Ag Growth International Inc. (AGI) announces that Rajan Aggarwal, executive director and CEO of AGI Milltec in India, is the recipient of the “CEO of the Year for Manufacturing” award issued annually by India’s leading financial daily, the Economic Times Ascent.

The ceremony, which took place February 17 at Taj Land’s End in Mumbai, honors India’s top trend setting and innovative business leaders.

The Economic Times Ascent award recognizes individuals who demonstrate consistent and substantial growth in revenue and bottom line under difficult market conditions with higher operational efficiencies.

AGI’s operations in India were launched in 2019 when it acquired Milltec Machinery Ltd. and began offering a range of equipment solutions under the AGI Milltec brand that facilitate rice milling, pulses, seeds, maize, and multi-commodity processing. Backed by a dedicated R&D team that drives innovation, and a customer support center addressing the entire value chain, AGI Milltec supplies end-to-end turnkey solutions for rice processing activities in India and beyond.

Some of AGI Milltec’s most recent state-of-art technology installations were implemented in Honduras, Nigeria, Oman, and Dubai. Future growth plans include bringing world-class grain storage and handling solutions to India, APAC and Australia as well as providing Indian companies with livestock feed and pet food processing solutions.

In 2016 Aggarwal joined Milltec as executive director and CEO prior to the company’s acquisition by AGI and has remained with AGI leading the company’s operations in India. He is a highly regarded mentor to many colleagues, often acknowledged as a business trendsetter and was previously recognized for his leadership excellence at the 2019 Food Show India as CEO of the year.

During the Times Ascent 21st Global and 6th Edition-India “Business Leader of the Year” presentation, Aggarwal told participants that the award symbolizes the “trust and faith” that AGI’s leadership team has expressed in him.
