Phil Raimondo, chairman and CEO of Behlen Mfg. Co. in Columbus, NE, died Sunday at the age of 59. He had been diagnosed with liver cancer, reports KETV.
Behlen has been under local ownership since 1984 when Raimondo's father TR led an effort to save the company. Behlen is a national leader in the manufacturing of grain storage and other farm equipment.
Raimondo was named Behlen chairman and CEO in 2019, but he had held leadership positions in the family business since 1990.
He served on numerous boards, including those at the University of NMerbaska Medical Center and the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce.
