Rockford, IL., – June 22, 2023 – WATT Global Media announces the promotion of Mark Clements to the position of editor-in-chief, Poultry; Elizabeth “Liz” Doughman to the position of editor, WATT PoultryUSA and Poultry Future; and Meredith Dawson (née Johnson) to the position of managing editor, WATT PoultryUSA and Egg Industry.
“These changes will allow WATT to grow its portfolio of live events and digital products and continue serving the global poultry industry with information that helps audience members do their jobs and advance their careers,” said Terrence O’Keefe, content director, WATT Global Media. “We will continue to provide the content our audience needs in the form they want to consume it, whether that is magazines, newsletters, videos, podcasts or at in-person events.”
Mark Clements joined WATT in 2008 as editor of Poultry International magazine. Since then, he has also edited Feed
In his new role, Clements will continue to have primary responsibility for production of Poultry International magazine. He will also work with the poultry content team members to ensure that all of WATT’s poultry products meet the needs of our audiences and clients.
Prior to joining WATT, Clements served as editor of International Food Ingredients and edited Animal Pharm for Informa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in contemporary European studies from London Metropolitan University.
Elizabeth Doughman joined Watt Global Media in 2019 and she has served as the managing editor of WATT’s Poultry Future
Prior to joining WATT, Doughman held the position of editor-in-chief of Laboratory Equipment Magazine for Advantage Business Marketing (formerly Vicon Publishing). She started with Advantage Business Marketing out of undergraduate school and filled a variety of editorial roles over her 14 years there.
Doughman holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in journalism from Northeastern University.
Meredith Dawson joined WATT in 2021 and has served as the managing editor of the Egg Industry Insight weekly briefing, the
Prior to joining WATT, Dawson served as a Quality Systems Senior Supervisor for Golden State Foods. She also held the positions of Quality Assurance Supervisor and Yield Specialist at Koch Foods. While attending graduate school Dawson was a Research Assistant at Auburn University.
Dawson holds a bachelor’s degree in meat science and a master’s degree in food and poultry science from Auburn University.
