
U.S. agricultural export sales showed mixed results during the week ending June 25, with corn exports posting strong gains while soybean sales dropped to a marketing-year low, according to the Weekly Exports Report put out by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Corn shipments increase
Corn exports of 1.82 million metric tons were up 21% from the previous week and 5% from the prior four-week average. The destinations were primarily Japan (359,000 MT), Mexico (353,100 MT), Taiwan (144,200 MT), South Korea (140,900 MT), and Colombia (109,400 MT).
Net sales of 732,100 MT for the 2025/2026 marketing year were down 2% from the previous week and 23% from the prior four-week average. Increases primarily for Mexico (261,000 MT), Colombia (201,100 MT), Portugal (169,200 MT), Spain (155,000 MT), and Japan (144,300 MT) were offset by reductions for unknown destinations.
Net sales of 767,800 MT for 2026/2027 were primarily for Mexico (272,700 MT), unknown destinations (189,500 MT), South Korea (131,000 MT), Colombia (97,000 MT), and Honduras (44,500 MT).
Soybeans hit marketing-year low
Net sales of 41,800 MT for 2025/2026 marked a marketing-year low, down 91% from the previous week and 88% from the prior four-week average. Increases primarily for China (65,400 MT), Japan (27,600 MT), Taiwan (10,400 MT), Malaysia (7,200 MT), and Venezuela (7,000 MT) were offset by reductions for unknown destinations.
Soybean exports of 388,000 MT were up 79% from the previous week but down 11% from the prior four-week average. The destinations were primarily Mexico (118,200 MT), Japan (102,200 MT), China (65,400 MT), Egypt (54,100 MT), and Indonesia (17,600 MT).
Soybean meal exports surge
Soybean cake and meal exports of 436,000 MT were up 56% from the previous week and 61% from the prior four-week average. The destinations were primarily the Philippines (150,000 MT), Italy (55,000 MT), Mexico (54,000 MT), Ecuador (50,600 MT), and the Netherlands (22,700 MT).
Net sales of 239,100 MT for 2025/2026 were up 56% from the previous week but down 5% from the prior four-week average.
Wheat and other commodities
Wheat net sales of 300,100 MT for 2026/2027 were primarily for Mexico (79,700 MT), unknown destinations (68,200 MT), Colombia (31,200 MT), Italy (30,000 MT), and Guatemala (24,500 MT). Exports of 364,800 MT were primarily to South Korea (88,400 MT), Mexico (72,800 MT), the Philippines (66,000 MT), Japan (43,700 MT), and Colombia (31,200 MT).
Beef net sales of 126,100 MT for 2026 marked a marketing-year high, up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior four-week average. Increases were primarily for Chile (38,400 MT), Italy (32,300 MT), Japan (20,600 MT), Hong Kong (11,800 MT), and South Korea (4,700 MT).
