The U.S. Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for its Agribusiness Trade Mission to Manila, Philippines, scheduled for April 13-16, 2026. U.S. exporters interested in tapping into the Philippines’ growing market and economy must apply by January 9, 2026.
The Philippines ranks as the ninth largest export market for U.S. agricultural and food products, averaging $3.6 billion annually over the past five years. With a population of 118 million, the country offers strong potential due to its youthful demographic, consumer preference for U.S. foods and beverages, and a robust service-based economy.
Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Under Secretary Luke J. Lindberg highlighted the opportunities created by recent trade agreements, noting that the mission will help expand economic ties and support rural prosperity.
Participants will engage in business-to-business meetings, receive market briefings, participate in site visits, and network with industry experts. Key export opportunities include beef, pork, poultry, dairy, frozen meals, fresh produce, infant food, organic products, seafood, beverages, pet food, and ethanol.
The mission coincides with the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and the Philippines, underscoring the importance of strengthening agricultural ties. This mission is part of USDA’s broader 2026 export promotion strategy, which also includes trips to Türkiye, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam.
