Bunge Ltd.
Bunge Ltd. has opened a new 400-tonne-per-day wheat mill in Del Mayab, which is located about 12 miles from Puerto Progresso in southeast Mexico, reports Baking Business.
According to Bunge, the mill primarily will serve the states of Yucatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Chiapas and Tabasco, which together account for about 10% of Mexico’s population.
The mill will sell flour in bulk and in bags to both large food companies and small bakeries and will employ around 50 at the mill.
