U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins recently completed a two-day tour of Kansas and Missouri, engaging with farmers, ranchers, and agricultural leaders to discuss pressing industry issues. The visit highlighted the importance of Midwest agriculture and its role in shaping national policies.
Secretary Rollins, accompanied by Senator Roger Marshall and Representative Tracey Mann, toured key agricultural facilities including High Plains Ponderosa Dairy, Finney's County Feeder and the National Beef Packing Plant in Kansas. These visits provided firsthand insights into dairy, feedlot, and meat processing operations.
In Missouri, Rollins participated in the Top Producer Summit, addressing international market expansion and the farm economy. She also hosted a multi-state roundtable to discuss USDA policy priorities.
"Kansas is at the heart of American agriculture, and its farmers and ranchers play a critical role in feeding the world," Rollins stated, emphasizing the tour's significance in informing policies for long-term agricultural success nationwide.
