BinSentry, a global leader in AI-powered management solutions for the animal feed supply chain, and Trouw Nutrition, leader in the livestock feed business, are announcing an expansion of their partnership in Canada. BinSentry’s ProSense Feed platform and sensor technology will now be deployed nationwide across Trouw Nutrition’s Canadian facilities.

The expanded deployment reflects a significant evolution in the relationship between the two organizations — from standalone inventory monitoring toward enterprise-wide operational optimization powered by AI-driven inventory intelligence and proactive supply chain management.

Trouw Nutrition Canada initially adopted BinSentry’s technology at select locations to improve feed inventory visibility and reduce emergency outages. Following measurable operational improvements —including enhanced delivery efficiency, improved logistics coordination, and fewer service disruptions — the organization chose to scale the platform across its broader Canadian network.

“What began as a tool for improving visibility and reducing outages has become a strategic operational platform capable of optimizing how feed manufacturers manage inventory, ordering, logistics, and customer service across entire ecosystems,” said Tim Karl, Vice President of Milling at BinSentry.

Karl emphasized that the nationwide deployment was driven by a strong partnership approach between the two organizations.

“After nearly three decades in milling and animal nutrition, I’ve found that when organizations work collaboratively, it consistently creates mutual value and win-win outcomes,” said Karl. “That’s exactly what we’ve built together here.”

“After seeing the operational improvements generated through our initial deployment of BinSentry’s technology, it became clear there was substantially more strategic value available through a broader rollout,” said David Crossan, General Manager, Central Region at Trouw Nutrition Canada. “Expanding across our Canadian network allows us to further optimize inventory management, delivery coordination, and customer service throughout our operations.”

Gastón López Minder, General Manager, West Region at Trouw Nutrition Canada, said the expanded partners supports the company’s long-term operational and innovation objectives.

“We define ourselves as an innovative company and we’re committed to continuously improving how we operate and how we support producers across Canada,” said López. “Expanding ProSense Feed across our network represents an important next step in modernizing our feed operations through digitalization.”

The partnership also reflects a broader industry shift as feed manufacturers increasingly recognize the strategic advantages created by connected inventory ecosystems and AI-powered operational intelligence.

“What Trouw Nutrition Canada recognized is that the opportunity extends far beyond preventing outages — it’s about creating a smarter, more connected, and more efficient operational network,” said Karl.
