Landus has appointed Sam Caton as its interim CEO, effective immediately. Caton, who will maintain his role as executive vice president of sales, brings over 20 years of agricultural industry experience to the position.
Board Chairman Matt Chambers expressed confidence in Caton's leadership, citing his understanding of the cooperative's operations and vision.
Caton's background includes managing complex business integrations at Simplot and operating an 8,000-acre family farm and cattle ranch. His first priority will be leading the search for a permanent CEO, focusing on input from farmer-owners.
"I'm honored to be trusted with leading Landus forward, and I know the best way to do so is with the guidance of our farmers," Caton said.
