NCI Hires Program Manager

The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) recently hired Nick Sinner for program manager.

In his new role, Sinner will use his background in agriculture and commodity association leadership to provide organization and leadership in the development of educational programs to promote northern-grown crops to global grain buyers and food processors.

He will work with commodity groups, state and federal government agencies, and private industry, in addition to participating in outreach efforts at industry meetings and trade shows. Sinner’s areas of responsibilities will include barley and malt quality, corn and ethanol procurement, pulse crops and industrial hemp usage.

“I have long admired the work that NCI does for crops grown in this region,” Sinner says. “I hope to use my background in agriculture to further develop new markets for our commodities.”

Sinner is originally from Casselton, ND, and graduated from St. John’s University with a bachelor of science in accounting.

Prior to being hired as program manager, he was the processing technologist for the Northern Crops Institute. Sinner conducted pilot-scale processing and assisted with laboratory analyses on northern-grown crops.

In his free time, Sinner enjoys golfing, biking, downhill skiing, walking and playing with his grandkids whenever possible.
