Rail industry leaders to gather for NARS annual meeting in Chicago

The North American Rail Shippers Association (NARS) will host its annual meeting May 7-9, 2025, in Chicago, bringing together key players in the rail shipping industry for networking and knowledge sharing.

The event will feature a lineup of high-profile speakers, including Joe Hinrichs, President and CEO of CSX, and Patrick Fuchs, Chairman of the Surface Transportation Board. Other notable presenters include executives from Norfolk Southern, Union Pacific Railroad, and BNSF Railway.

NARS President Kate Bourgeois emphasized the significance of the gathering, stating, "Chicago and NARS are intrinsic to the North American railroad industry. This meeting is a natural place for our annual gathering of leaders who come to share insights and learn from peers."

New to this year's program is Chicago social media sensation Dilla Thomas, known for his engaging storytelling about the city's history. The event will also include a special tour focusing on Chicago's pizza culture and history.

The three-day meeting will be held at the Swissôtel Chicago, with registration fees starting at $575 until April 9, increasing to $625 thereafter. Attendees can book accommodations at a group rate of $289 until April 15, subject to availability.
