Texas Grain & Feed Association names president and CEO

Robert L. Braden has been named president and CEO for the Texas Grain & Feed Association (TGFA).

Braden will be responsible for the general administration and management of the association office in Forth Worth, Texas. Essential functions of the position will include a renewed focus on member engagement as well as continued representation of membership interest in local, state and national governments. Braden will report directly to the TGFA board of directors.

"Mr. Braden has the business acumen from not only managing country elevators, but he's also merchandised at the highest level," says Chris Yaklin, general manager, Gulf Coast Cooperative. "I can think of no one more qualified to step in and move TGFA back in the right direction."

Ron Bingham, senior vice president, Scoular, said Braden has an unwavering positive attitude that shines brightest during challenging situations.

"His rich agricultural background, particularly in grain and feed trading and merchandising, has provided him with an unmatched understanding of the industry dynamics, further amplifying his leadership prowess," said Bingham.

Braden is a graduate of Texas Tech University. From 2000 to 2012, he served as managing partner of Concho Valley Commodities, Inc. In 2012, he transitioned to the senior Texas merchandising manager role for Scoular until 2020. He comes to TGFA from a general manager position at Uvalde County Farmers Cooperative. He has served as a board director for STX Country Elevator Association, Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council and the TGFA.
