When MPS Egg Farms and Kipster teamed up to open Kipster’s first farm in the U.S, there were challenges, but the companies were committed to building a sustainable and profitable business in the U.S. like it already had in the Netherlands. Kipster produces what it calls “the world’s first carbon-neutral egg” and has a unique operating model in that it raises its male layer birds for meat production.
“As we got to learn more about Kipster, their team and their practices, it became even clearer that this was a company truly living its vision for a sustainable future,” said Sam Krouse, co-CEO of MPS Egg Farms. “Kipster does not rely on greenwashing or achieving good-enough sustainability to meet consumer trends, nor do they prop themselves up by denigrating other agricultural practices for the promotion of their own. Instead, Kipster succeeds by authentically working and living in accordance with their vision in all things that they do.”
