Fire crews extinguish grain bin blaze at La Crosse Milling Company

Multiple fire departments responded to contain a fire inside a silo containing 100 tons of oats.

WIProud's Alex Lazzerini reported that fire crews in Buffalo County successfully contained and extinguished a fire Tuesday morning at the La Crosse Milling Company in Cochrane, Wisconsin.

The Tri-Community Fire Department responded to the scene where firefighters located a fire inside a grain bin silo containing an estimated 100 tons of oats. Crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire within the bin.

No information has been released regarding injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials have not released additional details at this time.
