Dave Hinton reported on a worker that was injured at a Paxton, Illinois, grain elevator on Monday morning in an accident involving a skid loader for The News-Gazette. The incident occurred at the Ludlow Cooperative Grain Elevator’s Paxton facility.
The employee was operating the skid loader inside a grain bin when he accidentally backed into an auger trough, resulting in a leg injury. The worker was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Emergency calls initially feared a grain entrapment, but the worker was not trapped in the grain.
