G3 announces that for the second time its Pasqua facility, a high-efficiency grain elevator near Moose Jaw, Sask., has received Canadian Pacific’s Elevator of the Year award.

G3 Pasqua earned the distinction for the 2018-2019 crop year, and again this year.

CP presents this award annually to the grain elevator that achieves high volumes from a single loading point while consistently demonstrating efficient railcar loading and a strong commitment to safety.

“This is the second time in three years that G3 Pasqua has achieved this distinction, and we are very proud of this accomplishment," says Don MacDonald, vice president operations.

"G3’s loop tracks along with CP’s 8,500-foot trains are showing what the investment by both companies can achieve when functioning together. Through the dedicated efforts of both teams, we have improved the efficiency and safety of grain handling in Canada.”

Like the other high-efficiency grain elevators in G3’s growing network across the Prairies, G3 Pasqua sets new standards for quickly unloading trucks, which saves farmers time and money, and quickly loading trains, which keeps grain moving to market.

"CP is proud to recognize G3 Pasqua as Elevator of the Year (Canada) for the 2020-2021 crop year, making this the second time this elevator has won the award," says Joan Hardy, CP vice president Sales and Marketing Grain and Fertilizers. "CP congratulates the team at G3 Pasqua for their demonstrated commitment to the safe and efficient movement of grain across the network.”

In December 2018 CP also chose G3 Pasqua as the site to launch its new High Efficiency Product Train, comprised of new high-efficiency hopper cars. G3 Pasqua has been in operation since 2016.
