Michigan Turkey Producers launches wastewater treatment

The plant uses a dissolved air flotation (DAR) system which pulls pollution out of the water to be turned into compost.

With funding received from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion grant, grower-owned cooperative Michigan Turkey Producers has completed construction of and begun operating its new wastewater treatment plant.
