The United States successfully has obtained a favorable ruling from the World Trade Organization that found China violated international trade rules by subsidizing grain overproduction, reports The Oklahoman.
Oklahoma State University grains economist Kim Anderson called that a big win.
However, he said China is appealing that ruling and that Oklahoma’s wheat growers won’t see much benefit, at least during the foreseeable future.
Anderson said that about 85% of China’s imports is hard red spring wheat.
