German feed association warns of growing market uncertainty

Output of animal feeds in Germany in 2025 was up year-on-year, but producers are increasingly concerned about uncertainty arising from the geopolitical situation and ever more burdensome regulation.

Starting on a positive note, the German Animal Feed Association (DVT) announced at its annual conference in Bonn in March that national feed production was 3% higher last year than in 2024.

However, DVT President Cord Schiplage highlighted that the sector is under growing pressure. Among the challenges he specified are geopolitical instability and ever more complex red tape.
