Landus Cooperative is planning to close down its elevator in both Bondurant, Iowa. The company also owns a grain elevator in Altoona, Iowa.
Matt Carstens, president and CEO of Landus Cooperative, told KCCI that both elevators have significant and costly derecho damage.
He also says it's best for the company and the city of Bondurant to move out, as the grain elevator sits next to Bondurant's growing downtown.
