CGB Enterprises, Inc. (CGB) announces that Steve O’Nan, senior vice president of CGB Soybean Processing and president of North Dakota Soybean Processors (NDSP), has retired after more than 40 years of dedication and leadership within agriculture.
O'Nan began his career with CGB in 2013 as vice president and has spent his entire 40-plus year career in the soybean processing industry.
He will continue to serve the company as a board member for NDSP, a joint venture formed by CGB Enterprises, Inc. and Minnesota Soybean Processors, which will own and operate a state-of-the-art processing facility near Casselton, ND.
“If I have learned anything this last 43 years, it is the importance of the people around you," said O'Nan.
"I am blessed to have been around so many incredible people, and I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do with this great company as you go forward."
Tom Malecha promotion
CGB also announces that Tom Malecha, current vice president, has been promoted to senior vice president of CGB Soybean Processing and president of NDSP.
Malecha joined the CGB Soybean Processing team as vice president in April 2022 and brought over 35 years of experience to his new role.
Malecha will lead strategy and daily operations at the company’s Mt. Vernon, IN, facility and will be instrumental in the continued development of NDSP’s business.
“Steve has been an incredible asset to our organization, and the scope and impact of his work are tremendous," said Eric Slater, president and CEO, CGB. "He is a terrific colleague, a respected mentor, and a friend to so many. We wish him the absolute best in his well-deserved retirement.
