The agreement positions Centerra Co-op to handle grain origination and management, including buying grain, servicing grain customers and delivering corn to Gerber. Gerber & Sons will concentrate on manufacturing feed and serving livestock producers and feed customers.
“This partnership allows two local companies to work together in a way that benefits farmers,” said Jean Bratton, CEO of Centerra. “Centerra brings deep expertise in grain origination and grain management. We look forward to supporting Gerber’s feed mill, while bringing value to grain producers in the area.”

“At Gerber & Sons, we are committed to building the best feed business possible,” said Brandon Finke, Gerber & Sons general manager. “By partnering with Centerra on the grain side of the business, it allows our internal team to stay focused on what we do best — manufacturing quality feed, continually improving our operations and serving our customers well.”
