Hemp, mycotoxin research monies added to ag funding bill

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) announced the amendment to the bill, which still needs to be passed by the House.

The Agriculture Funding Bill will allocate $1 million to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Cereal Research Lab to study industrial hemp fiber and prevent crop losses from mycotoxin.

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) announced the amendment to the bill, which has passed the senate, during a visit to the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI) on the University of Minnesota's campus in St. Paul.
