Barchart announced expanded access to global fundamental data and research capabilities within its cmdtyView platform, aiming to enhance how users analyze commodity markets. The update integrates physical, economic, and trade data with futures markets and pricing in a single workflow.

As commodity markets grow more interconnected, cmdtyView offers users a streamlined way to explore large datasets covering supply and demand, production, consumption, imports, exports, and economic factors. The platform supports grains, oilseeds, livestock, and soft commodities such as coffee, cocoa, sugar, and cotton.

Users can build custom visualizations from Barchart’s extensive data catalog, combining multiple fundamental instruments. Data is presented in seasonal formats, allowing comparison of current conditions with historical trends. Timeframe options include marketing year, calendar year, or custom ranges, with up to 30 years of historical data available.

Brendan Hebert, director of product management at Barchart, said the platform is designed to embed intelligence directly into commodity professionals’ workflows. Will Osnato, director of commodity data research and analysis, added that the integration of fundamental data alongside market activity helps users understand how current conditions compare to historical patterns.

The expanded features are now available to all cmdtyView Pro users, reinforcing the platform’s role as a central hub for commodity data analysis and decision-making.
