Coshocton Tribune's Leonard L. Hayhurst reported that Centerra Co-op of Ashland, Ohio, is in final stages of purchasing Coshocton Grain Company, a deal both companies say will benefit the local community and customers.
Founded in 1948, Coshocton Grain operates a grain elevator with railroad loading access, a soybean processing facility and a Hebron location focused on container exports.
Centerra CEO Jean Bratton said the acquisition will “open up new markets for our members’ grain” while expanding the co-op’s geographic footprint across Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
Centerra plans to continue operations at both locations.
