Iowa farmer elected to GROWMARK board of directors

Company fails to implement any of nine safety measures following 2017 explosion that killed five.

GROWMARK, Inc. announced today that Jeff Pape of Dyersville, Iowa, has been elected to its board of directors during the organization’s annual business meeting.

Pape, who operates a 1,000-acre corn and soybean farm with his wife Wanda and their family, brings 15 years of experience from the Three Rivers FS board of directors. He is also a member of the Dubuque County Farm Bureau.

His three-year term on the GROWMARK board begins August 12, 2025.

The current GROWMARK Board consists of 19 active farmers who guide the cooperative and its affiliated FS and grain companies. Their decisions influence the future of GROWMARK in serving member cooperatives across North America.

GROWMARK is an agricultural cooperative serving nearly 400,000 customers, providing agronomy, energy, facility engineering, construction, logistics, grain marketing and risk management services. Headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois, the organization owns the FS trademark used by member cooperatives.
