Knobelsdorff (KE), a leading provider of automation, electric, energy and power services, announced plans to expand its operations into Illinois with a new office in Oglesby. The 80,000-square-foot facility, set to open in late spring 2025, will serve as a centralized hub for all four of KE's divisions.
The expansion aims to meet growing industry demand in the region and provide more localized support to clients. The new facility will house office spaces, warehouse and equipment storage.
Karl von Knobelsdorff, CEO, said, "Expanding into Illinois allows us to strengthen our relationships with current clients while building new opportunities to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the region."
As part of its community engagement efforts, KE will launch Operation Trades Awareness (OTA) in spring 2025. The initiative will promote careers in the trades to younger generations, starting with kindergarten and graduating senior classes at three local school districts.
The expansion is expected to create over 50 jobs, including positions for project managers, electricians, foremen, installers and office staff. KE emphasizes its commitment to building a strong Illinois-based team.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new facility will be announced at a later date.
