The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) announced the reinstatement of several important data collection programs and reports on March 19, 2025.
The July Cattle report will return, along with County Estimates for Crops and Livestock. The county estimate reinstatement applies to the 2024 crop season for row crops and the 2025 season for small grain crops.
Key release dates include:
- May 6: County Estimates for corn, sorghum, and soybeans
- May 12: County Estimates for cotton
- May 13: County Estimates for cattle
- May 23: County Estimates for rice and peanuts
- July 25: July Cattle report
Troy Joshua, a NASS representative, stated that these reinstatements will provide valuable data for the agricultural industry.
