Barentz Int'l will be expanding its activities in North America. The company announces it has entered into an agreement to acquire Pestell Nutrition, a prominent distributor of feed additives, nutritional ingredients, macro and trace minerals, and pet specialty ingredients for the animal health, animal nutrition, and pet food sectors across Canada and the U.S.
Pestell Nutrition, headquartered in New Hamburg, Ontario has a significant position in Canada and a fast-growing expansion into the U.S. animal nutrition market. The companyrenowned for technical solutions, application knowledge and providing of high-value feed additives. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions including merger control clearances.
The pending acquisition follows the acquisition of Maroon Group in late 2020 and accelerates the strategic positioning of the Barentz Group toward animal health while establishing the animal nutrition vertical globally.
