Landus, a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in the heart of rural Iowa, announces a multi-year agreement with Google to explore the many challenges and opportunities facing today’s farmers, and to seek groundbreaking solutions for a more sustainable and profitable farming ecosystem of tomorrow.

As part of this, Landus will bring Google Cloud’s solutions to the Landus Innovation Center in Ralston, Iowa, a newly opened facility dedicated to connecting the cooperative’s farmer-owners to global innovation leaders to help drive a sustainable future in agriculture.

Landus has chosen Google Cloud to be a strategic cloud provider for their farmer data platform. This partnership will enable Landus to deliver a frictionless data flow, derive insights from data quickly, and seamlessly drive real-time decisions.

“By putting our farmers at the center of innovation in data, technology, and sustainability we can change the landscape of what agriculture is and what it needs to become. We are proud to bring Google’s innovations to the heart of rural America where we can work together to change the future of agriculture at ground level,” said Matt Carstens, Landus President and CEO.

“Landus is doing great work to help farmers overcome the growing challenges in agriculture, and the potential for technology to accelerate the development of these solutions will have a considerable impact on the farming ecosystem,” said Jim Anderson, Managing Director, Google Cloud South Central Region. “We’re pleased to be working alongside Landus to reimagine the agriculture experience for farmers and growers.”
