An industrial accident at a fish feed mill in Truro, Nova Scotia, has resulted in the death of a 55-year-old man from Ontario, according to local authorities.
Truro Police Service, Truro Fire Service and EHS responded to an industrial accident at Northeast Nutrition.
According to reports, emergency crews said the man was making a delivery to the facility when the accident happened. The man suffered fatal injuries when a load of material shifted, trapping him.
The man was not an employee of Northeast Nutrition but an employee of Double S Agri Transport.
According to its Facebook post, Truro Police Service is assisting in the investigation.
"We have been in contact with the deceased’s family in Ontario, however his name is being withheld pending additional notifications," the post read.
