An explosion happened at Ag Partners in Royal, IA, around 3:30 pm. Tuesday, reports KTIV.
First responders were on the scene last night, waiting for a structural engineer, who is surveying the extent of damage to the facility.
Officials don't know what caused the explosion at this time, but evacuated the area surrounding the elevator as a precaution.
The explosion happened in a part of the elevator which houses both corn and soybeans. According to a report at Siouxland News, the elevator was mostly empty at the time of the explosion.
After cutting off electricty and gas, the concern switched to protecting the crews and surrounding residents.
Despite the extensive damage at the facility, no one was injured.
