Four area fire departments responded to a fire at the Co-Alliance Grain Elevator facility Sunday night just outside of Goodland, IN, reports the Newton County Enterprise.
When first responders arrived, two conveyor belts were on fire and there was a small fire inside a corn bin.
The two conveyor belts were heavily damaged by the fire. Firefighters returned Monday morning when the fire inside the corn bin rekindled.
Goodland Fire Chief Jeff Miller believes it was a hot bearing on the conveyor that caused the fire.
