Hundreds of bushels of corn were damaged by a grain dryer fire in White, SD, on Tuesday evening, reports The Brookings Register.
The Brookings County sheriff's office report that upon arrival, emergency crews found fire within the grain inside the grain dryer at Berndt Family Produce.
The dryer and approximately 500 bushels of corn inside were damaged from the fire, with a total loss from the incident estimated at $53,000.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
