USSEC Hires Market Access Team Manager

Ryan Olson will work on tariff and non-tariff barriers impacting trade of U.S. soy and soy products

The U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) hired Ryan Olson to serve as manager of Market Access.

In this position, he will work on tariff and non-tariff barriers impacting the trade of U.S. soy and soy products.

Olson brings a wealth of experience working on trade issues and building relationships throughout the value-chain. Prior to joining USSEC, he spent four years working on market access programming and trade/regulatory initiatives at the North American Export Grain Association. Here he worked closely with industry partners and stakeholders to advance international trade priorities and address market access barriers.

Olson earned a bachelor’s in political science from James Madison University and master’s in international commerce and policy from George Mason University. He also holds a Certificate of International NGO Management from James Madison University and a Certificate from Harvard University Extension School for Management Skills for Emerging Leaders.
