Bushel was featured during Google I/O, Google’s annual developer conference.

Bushel was highlighted following the keynote presentation given by Google CEO Sundar Pichai. The event, held virtually this year, brings together developers from around the world to learn about Google’s latest developments in its lineup of products.

During the live stream, a video showed Bushel’s history of using Google Workspace from Bushel’s days as a startup and through the 2020 global pandemic. Bushel has used Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and other lineup of products to collaborate, communicate and develop its products since its inception in 2011.

“Google deserves a lot of credit for shaping how our teams at Bushel collaborate and work together,” says Jake Joraanstad, CEO and co-founder of Bushel. “Their tools helped us adapt and grow at all phases of our corporate development, especially during the pandemic. We are honored to have them feature us alongside some of the most innovative companies in the world.”

Throughout 2020, Bushel found itself in a great place to drive the vision of the agriculture supply chain to leverage technology as the industry adapted to COVID-19 restrictions and adjustments. The company added 20,000 farmers to the platform through white-labeled apps distributed through grain-buying customers. Additionally there was a 200 percent increase in deploying digital grain contracts with electronic signature capabilities.

“The culture at Bushel aligns well with what Google’s offers in its tools. All the team members at Bushel feel empowered to hop into documents and sheets to share ideas and coordinate how we execute on our vision,” says Ryan Raguse, president and co-founder of Bushel. “Having that functionality in our early days really also allows the culture to share ideas throughout the organization.”

Current grain data-sharing processes are manual and fragmented, resulting in lost productivity and revenue potential. Bushel’s technologies aim to solve some of the industry’s biggest challenges and bring the grain supply chain together through connected, standardized and properly-permissioned data.

Bushel’s product suite includes its flagship mobile app, websites, trading tools, market feeds, API services and a custom software division focused on agriculture. Bushel has been focused on building software since the company was founded in 2011.
